Adult Psychiatric Mobile Team

NU Healthcare is part of Västra Götaland Region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Northern Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area includes 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. The Adult Psychiatry Clinic is seen as the base of the specialist psychiatric operations where the goal is to investigate, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate in the patient's local environment as much as possible. The target group primarily consists of individuals who need psychiatric specialist care for example depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, comorbidity i.e. mental disorder/disease with concurrent substance abuse/dependency as well as investigation and treatment of ADHD. We continuously develop care with new methods and have received funding to offer patients the right interventions.

You will join a workplace with well-established colleagues and a good work community. We are divided into teams consisting of doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, and secretaries.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in the mobile team, you offer care and treatment in the patient's local environment as an alternative or complement to hospital care. The purpose is to provide support and advice to facilitate during leaves, new illnesses, or deterioration. The team also makes assessments.

You also work with advice and support for relatives and provide consulting services to other healthcare providers. The interventions are based on assignment notifications, they can be urgent or planned but are always time-limited.

Working Hours

In the mobile acute team, you work between 4:00 PM and 2:00 AM and some days from 2:30 PM to 2:00 AM and have duty every other weekend. The team is available every day of the year. The basic staffing consists of two nurses.

Qualifications

Registered nurse. Specialist training and experience from psychiatric operations are meritorious. The work requires that you have personal maturity, are accustomed to and enjoy working independently, and can quickly make your own decisions. You should be stress-resistant and able to handle a high work pace with “many balls in the air.”

We expect you to be structured, clear, orderly, and flexible, as well as have a willingness and interest in working and being part of a team. We place great importance on personal suitability and value qualities such as flexibility and good social competence where humor, initiative, and positive thinking are clear merits.

In the long run, we offer the opportunity to pursue training as a specialist nurse.

Other

Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period. A driving license (B) is a requirement.
