About us
Närhälsan Backa Health Center has approximately 12,500 registered patients.
With a very good and stable staffing, we conduct a broad general medical practice characterized by a holistic view with the patient in focus. Our child health clinic (BVC) is well-staffed with four experienced child health nurses who have worked with us for a long time, and we have about 1,000 children registered at our BVC. As one of our child health nurses is moving, we are now looking for a replacement. We have 15 regular doctors, of whom 7 work at BVC with medical check-ups. Here, decision-making paths are short, and all employees are involved in developing our work methods. We work in teams both professionally and cross-professionally, focusing on patient work and workplace issues.

About the job
Your tasks at BVC are varied, where you follow children with guardians from newborn until school health care takes over. You have a central role in meeting the families' needs and making medical and nursing assessments and priorities. You work health-promoting, advisory, and treatment both via phone, home visits, digital care meetings, and at the clinic.
You will work with health checks, vaccinations, and parent groups. The patient group consists of children aged 0-6 years with their families. Collaboration occurs in cross-professional teams at BVC, and we have a very good and active family-centered collaboration with preventive social workers, preschools, and BMM. Educating future colleagues is an important and rewarding part of our mission, so mentoring students is also included in your role at the health center.
About you
You are a licensed nurse with specialized training as a pediatric nurse or district nurse. It is meritorious if you have experience working with children and young people and/or have mentoring training of 7.5 credits, but we also welcome you as a recent graduate.
We are looking for someone who takes initiative in their work and is confident in making their own decisions. You are meticulous, have good problem-solving skills, and can effectively prioritize among your tasks.
In your work, you meet many patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a desire to help others. We also believe that you thrive in teamwork, and for you, it is a given to collaborate with colleagues and other contacts. You can express yourself well in both speech and writing, and you are an engaged and good listener in both digital meetings and visits to the clinic. We would also like you to have an interest in digitization and organizational development.

Travel in the service may occur; a B driver's license is required.

About the recruitment process
Selection takes place in two stages. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call candidates for a phone interview. Thereafter, the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.
We use competency-based interviews, which means that the answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers – this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the outcome was.
