ABOUT THE POSITION

We are now looking for a personal assistant for an elderly man living about 15–20 minutes by car south of Boxholm, in a calm and picturesque environment.

The man lives with hemiplegia, aphasia after a stroke, and epilepsy, and needs support to have a safe and functioning daily life.

The work is primarily performed at home, where he lives with his wife in a house surrounded by nature. As a personal assistant, you will be a reliable support in daily life – including communication, training, and daily routines. The assignment also includes light household chores and accompanying him on activities outside the home.

Since the residence is secluded, working hours are mostly scheduled as day shifts and longer shifts, which provides good opportunities for continuous time off or extra shifts for those who wish. Shorter shifts may also occur.

WHO ARE YOU?

We are looking for someone who is secure, mature, and has a warm and caring attitude. You are positive, independent, and have an easy time creating a calm and stable atmosphere around you.

It is an advantage if you have healthcare education or previous experience as a personal assistant, but we place the greatest emphasis on your personal qualities and your willingness to make a difference in someone else's daily life.

You need to have a driver's license and access to a car to reach the workplace.

WORKING HOURS AND EMPLOYMENT DEGREE

The client requires assistance around the clock, which means you may work different times of the day, with on-call included in the position. You will primarily work day shifts with sleeping on-call, but also some shorter shifts of 6.5 - 13 hours.

SALARY

At Vivida, you as an assistant receive a fixed base salary per hour + vacation pay and any additional compensation. A collective agreement is in place.
