Career and Study Advisor Wanted at CUL

Do you want to inspire and support people in finding their path in education and career? The Learning Administration is looking for a career and study advisor for the unit of study and career guidance, CUL, Center for Development and Learning.

CUL is part of the Learning Administration, which encompasses Hudiksvall Municipality's educational activities in preschool, primary school and adapted primary school, secondary school and adapted secondary school, as well as adult education and adapted adult education.

Currently, there are 11 career and study advisors working in the municipality's primary schools (grades 7-9), secondary school, and adult education.

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.

Job Responsibilities

You will be part of the municipality's overall guidance and will be placed within one of the stages: primary school, secondary school, or adult education. When possible, we work together across stage boundaries. You have an individual focus and an outgoing approach. Your tasks include conducting guidance conversations, both individually and in groups. Informing about different educational paths and professions. Supporting students in the guidance process. You will be involved in creating activities focused on study and career guidance. You collaborate with other career and study advisors within the unit to ensure that guidance runs as a common thread throughout the school. Cooperation with other school staff in general guidance is important for increased goal achievement. Collaboration also occurs to a high degree with authorities, businesses, other municipalities, and other educational providers.

You have a degree as a career and study advisor. We place great importance on personal suitability and personal qualities such as flexibility, drive, creativity, responsibility, solution focus, and collaboration skills.

About the Administration

We teach children to read, count, and discover the world around them. We follow our youngest residents from preschool until they graduate from high school. Through our adult education, one can learn Swedish as a second language, take individual courses, or pursue a longer education. With joy, commitment, participation, and a scientific basis, we aim to increase knowledge, creativity, development, and the desire to learn. With us, all children, youth, and adults should feel that they can, want, and dare! Together, we are the Learning Administration – a part of Hudiksvall Municipality.
