About the Position

We are now seeking a university lecturer in building technology for the Department of Building Technology, Energy Systems, and Environmental Science.

The position is a permanent employment with a scope of 100%. A probationary period may apply.

Job Responsibilities

The position includes both work in research projects and teaching in building technology. You will be involved in teaching courses in architecture, building technology, building materials, building construction, geotechnics, and other courses related to the main field of building technology. Teaching takes place on campus at both undergraduate and advanced levels. Conducting experimental tests in the university's laboratory is also part of the job responsibilities. You will carry out research projects and work in a team with other teachers and researchers in the building technology group.

The workplace is Gävle, and most of the working hours are campus-based at Högskolan i Gävle.

Qualifications

For employment as a university lecturer in building technology, the following is required:

completed bachelor's degree in building technology, architecture, or construction, or equivalent competence acquired in another way. A master's degree in the mentioned subjects is an advantage,
demonstrated pedagogical skill,
good ability to express yourself in spoken and written English,
good knowledge of CAD and BIM.

Professional experience and experience from research projects within the subject group's profile area and collaboration with industry are advantageous. Likewise, a good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish is advantageous.

Great importance is placed on personal qualities such as good collaboration and communication skills.
