You will work in the Department of Service, IT, and Security, which has around 35 employees. The department's responsibilities also include Helpdesk and IT support, service functions within the campus such as reception/switchboard, janitorial services, and the university shop. Furthermore, the department works with system development/system management, security, technical project management, business development, IT pedagogy, and AV technology.
Your role
As a property strategist, you have a central role in implementing our campus plan in practice and ensuring that the institution has suitable, safe, and cost-effective premises that support education, research, and administration. You will work both strategically and operationally with premises supply, physical security, and personal safety.
Your main tasks will include:
- Developing and following up on the institution's premises supply plan and contributing to the implementation of our campus plan.
- Analyzing space needs and proposing solutions that support the organization's goals.
- Managing lease agreements and collaborating with external property owners as well as the university's tenants.
- Maintaining contacts with property-related suppliers.
- Coordinating renovations, relocations, and local projects.
- Working to coordinate physical security, including accident protection and risk assessments.
- Working to coordinate systematic fire protection work (SBA) and ensuring that fire protection meets legal requirements.
- Contributing to safe environments through routines, training, and collaboration with security functions.
- Managing and administering systems in the area.
- Participating in long-term planning and sustainability work related to premises.
Additional tasks may be included in the position.
We are looking for someone who has:
- education in a relevant field or equivalent experience deemed comparable,
- documented good collaborative skills,
- documented experience working with premises supply, lease agreements, and project management,
- documented experience working with SBA, physical security, and personal safety.
We will also evaluate the following criteria during the hiring process:
- Ability to analyze needs and translate them into practical solutions.
- Ability to work independently and be flexible, with the capacity to switch between strategic and operational tasks.
- Characteristics of being analytical and having the ability to work in a structured manner, as well as being driven and solution-focused.
- A communicative and collaborative approach with the ability to build good relationships and explain complex issues in a simple way.
- Good digital competence with experience in systems for space planning, documentation, and follow-up.
In this employment, great importance will be placed on the ability to work independently and be flexible, with the capacity to switch between strategic and operational tasks.
Employment form:
The position is a permanent employment. The university may apply a six-month probationary period.
