Property Manager (Property Development)

The Västfastigheter construction and management region area has customer responsibility, acts as a representative for the property owner in matters concerning the region's property portfolio, and provides the region's operations with premises.

The Västtrafik unit is responsible for all properties, both owned and rented, as well as all stop equipment within the entire Västra Götaland region used by Västtrafik. The unit is responsible for maintaining good tenant relations and close cooperation.

The property portfolio mainly consists of vehicle depots, travel centers, stops, and break rooms. The unit is responsible for new investments, tenant adaptations, maintenance, rentals, and landlord procurements.

Job Description

We are now looking for two engaged and driven property managers to be based at the New Regional House in Gothenburg. In both roles, you will have overall responsibility for parts of our property portfolio – both owned and rented properties – and become a key person in the work of developing and managing our premises.

As a property manager, you will be responsible for ongoing management as well as driving development projects within the property area. You will be the project owner for both tenant adaptations and property-related investments. An important part of the assignment will also be to work with property development in the early stages of larger investments or landlord procurements.

The role involves close cooperation with our tenants and with colleagues in various operational areas within Västfastigheter Construction and Management. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to balance the needs of the tenants with the owner's goals and requirements.

Travel within the region is included, and we primarily travel by public transport. A driver's license is required for the role.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in property management, preferably in a larger organization, who wants to take the next step in their career in a role with significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence.

Experience with properties related to public transport, such as vehicle depots, travel centers, or other special properties is considered an advantage.

You are an educated construction engineer, civil engineer in community building, or have other education combined with experience deemed equivalent.

You have experience acting as a project commissioner or project owner and driving projects from start to finish. Furthermore, you are used to working with various types of requests and have excellent written communication skills. Familiarity with landlord procurement can also be an advantage.

Recruitment Process

The position may be placed in a security class, which means that a security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act will be conducted before employment. The recruitment process will include personality and skill tests according to the guidelines of the Västra Götaland region.
