Family Therapist to Järva

Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Do you want to improve living conditions for children and young people and their parents in Järva? Welcome to Järva - a leading district!

Welcome to us

The Open Care for Children and Youth 2 is a pleasant and development-oriented open care unit that provides high-quality treatment interventions for children, young people, and their families.

We offer family therapy and network meetings for children, young people, and their parents.

We are now looking for a family therapist who wants to work with interaction therapy for the youngest children.

We offer you

You will be part of a large open care characterized by comfort, commitment, high competence, and a focus on development and continuous improvements. The organization has a lot of experience and knowledge and the opportunity for collegial learning. We offer you a developing and exciting role in a time of change.

Family therapists receive external supervision every other week.

As an employee with us, you have a wellness allowance and the opportunity to take advantage of favorable offers from several gym chains and swimming pools. Read more about our benefits here.

Your role

As a family therapist, you create treatment plans tailored to the needs of children, young people, and parents. Family therapy is also structured based on specific change goals.

The focus for this position is to form a small child team together with a colleague. The team offers interaction therapy for the youngest children and serves as a competence bank regarding interaction and attachment. This may involve holding shorter training sessions for colleagues on interaction and attachment.

The role also includes working in family therapy in other types of assignments.

You have a clear child perspective that permeates your work and you place great importance on involving the children in the treatment.

The family's needs further guide how you plan and schedule the work. This means that the work may need to be carried out at times and places that suit the family.

The role also includes using evidence-based methods and striving for continuous improvements and evaluations of your work.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in social work or another university degree (at least a bachelor's) in a relevant field that the employer can assess as equivalent.
  • Completed further training in basic psychotherapy (step 1), systemic family therapy training, or other longer further training that the employer can assess as equivalent.

Meritorious for the position is:

  • Current and documented training in Marte Meo and experience in interaction therapy with the youngest children.
  • Current and documented experience of systemic family therapy work concerning children and young people, preferably in municipal open care.
  • Current and documented knowledge and experience of family therapy when there has been violence within the family.
  • Training in Safe Children, Circle of Security, and Tejping.

We are looking for someone who can work both independently and together with others in complex treatment cases. You are flexible and can adapt to changing circumstances when the situation requires it. You have a documented good ability to create relationships and collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner. You see the development of the work as a natural part of the role.

We place great emphasis on personal abilities and skills.

Your application

We are recruiting without a personal letter in this recruitment to strengthen the focus on the competencies and experiences required for this role. In assessing your application, we will only consider your CV and a number of questions you will be asked to answer when applying for the position. We wish for you to respond concretely and succinctly to the questions, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV. Do not wait with your application as interviews may be conducted continuously during the application period. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at ensuring each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
