Lifeguard at Vadstena Swimming Hall

Vadstena Swimming Hall is an important part of contributing to a meaningful leisure time for our citizens. At Vadstena Swimming Hall, we offer swimming, exercise swimming, swimming lessons, from baby swimming, splashing and play to swimming school, as well as a gym!

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a lifeguard at Vadstena Swimming Hall, you will work with pool supervision, cashier duties, and cleaning. To thrive as a lifeguard, you should enjoy taking responsibility and be flexible, as your days will consist of many different activities within the operation.

The swimming hall staff is also responsible for cleaning the sports hall and gym adjacent to the swimming hall. We are now looking for part-time substitutes for our swimming hall to strengthen the basic staffing during illness, vacation, and similar situations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is interested in working in our swimming hall as a lifeguard, where cashier duties and cleaning are included. We are primarily seeking extra staff as needed during evenings, weekends, and school breaks.

It is a requirement that you can swim; therefore, a swimming test will be conducted before employment. The swimming test corresponds to the Guldbojen and is divided into two parts, including swimming 100 meters in any stroke followed by 50 meters of swimming with a rescue buoy and then 50 meters of towing a similarly sized peer in a rescue buoy. The test will be conducted with a time limit.

It is an advantage if you have experience as a lifeguard or equivalent. Experience in service and cashier work is also an advantage. The job involves contact with schools and visitors, so you must be able to express yourself well in spoken Swedish and English. It is desirable if you are trained and have knowledge in CPR; if you do not have this, training will be provided in the area.
