Brasserie Stadsparken is a popular and modern bistro and restaurant located in the heart of Västerås city, beautifully situated right by the water and in a park environment.
Here, guests can sink into a comfy armchair with a drink or gather friends for a meal in one of our more secluded booths. The kitchen prepares traditional, classic dishes in generous portions with flavors that guests both recognize and are surprised by. During the summer, the bistro is one of the most visited restaurants in town!
Head Chef for Brasserie Stadsparken – Västerås' most beautiful living room!
Since 2014, Brasserie Stadsparken has grown to be one of Västerås' most beloved meeting places. With classic bistro food, a lively bar, and a warm atmosphere by the river, we are now looking for an experienced and confident Head Chef who, with professionalism, joy in work, and clear leadership, wants to lead our kitchen forward.
The Role:
This is a role with great responsibility – and great freedom. You will lead and develop the kitchen's work,
create a strong and healthy team, and ensure that quality, structure, and economy go hand in hand. You will be an obvious part of the management team and actively contribute to the development of the business.

Your main responsibilities:
- Lead, inspire, and develop the kitchen team
- Be responsible for menu development together with management
- Personnel responsibility: planning, recruitment, and onboarding
- Be responsible for purchasing, calculations, waste control, and kitchen economy
- Ensure routines, self-control, and food safety
- Contribute to a professional, safe, and positive work environment
We believe you are:
- An experienced and responsible leader
- Structured, confident, and solution-oriented
- Professional but unpretentious – you lead by being present
- Used to working in a fast-paced environment without compromising on quality
- A good communicator – in Swedish or English
It is an advantage if you have experience from larger restaurants, hotels, bistros, or similar.
Formal requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
- Good knowledge of HACCP and self-control
- Understanding of work environment efforts and leadership responsibility
- Ability to communicate well in Swedish and/or English
- Documented experience in a leading role in a restaurant kitchen
