Your Responsibilities

You will have some administrative tasks but are mainly operational, which means that you will primarily work in the kitchen. In addition to cooking for guests, you will work on preparations for the next day, make purchases, select ingredients, develop menus, and test various recipes. You will also participate in serving, cleaning, and dishwashing and collaborate with others in the team to solve the day's tasks. In preparation and cooking, you will use seasonal ingredients and work according to the concepts we apply. Within these frameworks, you have great freedom to prepare and present an attractive offer to our guests. An important part of the role as a chef is to meet the restaurant's guests with care and in a pleasant and professional manner.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a great interest in cooking and a culinary education or a similar qualification. You have experience working as a chef, preferably in a large kitchen, have ordering experience, and experience preparing special diets. Since written instructions, such as information about special diets, are common, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. You also have good computer skills.

You are attentive and accommodating in your role and enjoy collaborating with others. You can easily adapt to unforeseen events and have the ability to remain calm and show good judgment in stressful situations. Since the work is physically demanding, it is important that you have good health, mobility, and a good physical foundation. It is a plus if you have a B driver's license and access to your own car.

We Offer

The restaurant unit is a large entity responsible for cooking for the city's municipal preschools, primary schools, and secondary schools. This means that we prepare about 20,000 lunches a day. Our mission is to offer well-cooked and nutritious food prepared as close to our guests as possible. We base our work on our concept of preparing food seasonally in a craft-oriented way, which promotes both health and takes into account the environment and climate. This requires that we have the knowledge, willingness, training, and commitment needed. We offer a safe workplace and hope that you want to come and work with us. Before you can be employed, you need to present an approved extract from the police's criminal record.
