The Meal Unit is responsible for meals for the municipality's preschools, schools, and a senior restaurant, as well as preparing food for the municipality's Care and Social Services. The unit has about 110 employees and 29 kitchens.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job involves being booked to different workplaces where there is a need, but with the security of always working full-time. You will alternate between working alone in smaller kitchens and working in groups in larger kitchens.

If you work as a chef with us, you may work alone and in teams. You will prepare nutritious meals, special diets, allergy-friendly meals, prepare salads, bake, and wash dishes. You must be able to perform tasks independently and be flexible.

In the roles, you will also work with all usual tasks in large kitchens such as baking, serving, inventory management, picking goods, dishwashing, and cleaning.

QUALIFICATIONS

Being service-oriented and having good teamwork skills is a given for you and us.

We are looking for someone with a 3-year high school education in the restaurant and food program or other education/documented experience that the employer considers equivalent. You must have good knowledge of Swedish in writing, speaking, and reading comprehension, as we work a lot with special diets. Good computer skills are also required. Experience with special diets and texture-adapted foods is an advantage.
