About the job as an operational buyer:

As an operational buyer with us at Jefferson Wells, at our client SAAB in Gothenburg, you will be an important part of the purchasing team. You will work closely with both strategic and operational buyers and have a central role in ensuring that production and projects reach their milestones. The role involves significant responsibility and many points of contact - both internally and externally.

Common tasks:

• Purchasing of materials and services based on planned needs.
• Order placement and order processing.
• Own responsibility for less complex suppliers.
• Gathering cost estimates.
• Handling supplier invoices.
• Ongoing feedback to internal account managers.
• Supplier relationships and follow-up.
• Flow optimization.

We are looking for someone with a background in supply chain, sourcing, or operational purchasing who thrives in a fast-paced environment with short decision-making paths. You have a good understanding of what drives purchasing in a production chain and work independently to ensure high delivery precision. To succeed in the role, you need to be solution-oriented, responsible, and have a positive attitude. You are also comfortable making decisions even when all instructions are not entirely clear.
