Security Clearance Officer at the Headquarters

The position is located at the Security Department at the Headquarters with the workplace in Stockholm. The department is responsible for internal security at the Armed Forces' largest organizational unit, the Headquarters, and also for the personal security of the Armed Forces' highest leaders. The department also coordinates the security protection within the Stockholm Garrison. The Headquarters is undergoing reorganization, which also applies to the Security Department, which is in an expansive period where both tasks and a new work team are being developed. Main Responsibilities

The Security Department is organized into four sections, and the position is located at the Personnel Security Section.

In the role of Security Clearance Officer, you will conduct security clearances at the Headquarters. This means that you have overall responsibility for your security clearance cases as well as the administration that comes with it. The role involves independent work with a large variety of tasks. The tasks include, among others:

• Conducting preliminary investigations, administering background checks, and follow-up security clearances
• Supporting the organization with methodological support within the framework of personnel security
• Conducting training in the area, both internally within the Headquarters and externally towards suppliers, as well as participating in security protection checks
• Developing methods and writing internal regulations in the area

The tasks may change over time as the organization develops. You will have close cooperation with the Security Chief at the Headquarters, the Military Security Office, the Defense Staff, and the Operations Management.

Qualifications

• Current and relevant experience in the field of security clearance
• Current and relevant education in the field of security clearance
• Approved high school education
• Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish
• Good knowledge of MS Office

Meritorious

• Current and relevant experience in all parts of the preliminary investigation
• Current education and experience regarding background check routines
• Experience in security clearance work within the Armed Forces
• Experience in conducting training initiatives
• Documented experience of working in IS Undsäk
• Service within the military security service and thus good knowledge of the Armed Forces' organization and its regulations for security service or other experience that the employer assesses as equivalent

Other

Employment type: Temporary position for one year. The organization is in an expansive phase, and the possibility of continued employment may therefore arise.

Civil/Military employment: The position is open to both officers, specialist officers, and civilians.

Start date: as soon as possible by agreement.
