School Nurse
If you are a school nurse who wants to work with us and for us and make a difference in students' school development, do not hesitate to apply for this position.
OUR SCHOOL:
What best describes us is that we are a school where warmth and closeness make you always feel welcome. Vasalundsskolan is an independent F-9 primary school with just over 400 students, located in the green Vasatorp and with Lundsbäcks colony area as our nearest neighbor. It is easy to get to the school, either by car or by public transport.
The staff consists of positive, competent, and collaborative colleagues. We enjoy working together and work closely in teams, which means that you are never alone. Collegial learning is one of the school's guiding principles. We are proud to be a multicultural school where the Swedish culture lives side by side with the Arabic culture, and we emphasize that education and knowledge should shape the students' teaching.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a school nurse, your role includes working with the basic program within the framework of EMI, as well as proactively working with health-promoting and preventive student health work. Your task is to practically follow the students' health and development and to assist with medical expertise in the educational work to create the most positive learning situation possible for the students. Your contributions will help improve students' achievement.
Together with the school management, teachers, and others in the student health team, you will work analytically and proactively in the student health work. The work is largely independent, and you will have many external contacts with other institutions and organizations. A significant advantage is if you have your own network to turn to for advice and support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You are a licensed nurse with further education in public health and medical care. You have a school nurse or pediatric nurse degree and at least 2 years of professional experience. As a person, you are attentive, creative, and empathetic. You are a good communicator and have the ability to work independently and flexibly.
You will play a central role in the overall student health work where you collaborate with the counselor, school doctor, school psychologist, principal, and educators in the school's well-established student health team. We prefer that you have experience working in a multicultural environment.
Good computer skills and experience working with a web-based documentation system to keep records quickly and securely are required. It is a significant advantage if you have worked with Prorenata, which is the system we use.
As a person, you are solution-focused, unpretentious, and flexible. In your working style, you are results- and development-oriented. Furthermore, you create sustainable relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
We would like you to contribute with engagement, creativity, and curiosity. You meet every student with respect and attentiveness. You need to have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Even though the position is stated as full-time, we are open to different options. The position can vary. It can be a part-time position where you come in as needed, but it can also be a part-time position with varying working hours depending on workload.
The start date is at the beginning of the spring term 2026 or by agreement.
We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
NOTE! We kindly ask recruitment agencies not to contact us.
