Mörbylånga municipality is located in the southern part of Öland and consists of approximately 1200 dedicated and competent employees who are driven to make a difference in our community. JOB DESCRIPTION

In our care services, we have a salutogenic approach which means to utilize and strengthen the functions that the individual has. We do this by focusing on the individual's possibilities, strengths, and resources. We highlight the individual's positive traits and encourage them to strengthen their belief in their own abilities. The salutogenic working method is a solution-focused approach that contributes to increasing the user's participation. In your role as a personal assistant, you will ensure that the individual has the opportunity to live and reside independently.

You will work in a team with three staff members and assist a woman in her 70s living in the Färjestads area. The work involves shifts during the day, evening, and every other weekend, and there may be a need for sleeping on-call duty according to appendix J.

Your work will involve assisting with planning, execution, and follow-up of:

• Personal care
• Personal hygiene
• Getting dressed and undressed
• Meals
• Communication
• Activities
• Short outings
• Shopping and running errands
• Household chores
• Health management and visiting healthcare facilities
• Ongoing documentation in LifeCare
• Administering medication.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is seeking a responsible and flexible job where you are truly needed and can make a difference! Applicants should be women, at least 18 years old, and have a genuine interest in working with people. We prefer candidates with previous work experience in personal assistance, care, or social services, and being a certified nursing assistant is a plus. You need to have the ability to create a safe and empathetic environment where the user feels understood and well cared for. You should also be able to work from a rehabilitative perspective. A professional attitude and good collaboration with colleagues, supervisors, relatives, home care, and home healthcare are expected.

The user's personal wishes are that you are calm, easy-going, positive, flexible, and enjoy going on small outings for coffee or shopping (the user has their own car that the staff drives). Personal suitability is highly valued. A B driver's license is a requirement. To be considered for a position in social care in Mörbylånga municipality, the employer will request that the applicant presents a criminal record extract from the police against HVB homes.
