The social worker within the Child and Family Unit belongs to Mörbylånga municipality's Social Services, where all of the municipality's social workers, assistance assessors, and the family team are included.

The workplace is located in central Färjestaden with good communication opportunities to Kalmar and other parts of Öland. The nearest workgroup consists of eight social workers and a unit manager. We are committed to performing case handling and authority exercises of high quality and are now expanding our team with a colleague who wants to contribute to the systematic development of the operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Family law, foster home recruitment, the Integration Unit for children and youth, as well as handling child and youth cases are included in the unit's area of work. The main tasks for the current position are handling child and youth cases, ages 0-20.

The work involves conversations and collaboration with children, their families, and other external actors such as healthcare, schools, and the police. The case handling work follows the flow from when a case is initiated until it is concluded, including preliminary assessments, investigations, decisions, and follow-ups of granted interventions. Governing the work are applicable legislation and regulations in the area. The goal is for each individual child to grow up under safe and good conditions and to be given the opportunity for favorable development. We actively work for the participation of children and families. You will have the opportunity for regular external supervision, close management from the unit manager, and exchange with experienced colleagues.

We work based on BBIC, and the work is primarily conducted in the operational system LifeCare.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability for the role, which means that you should have a good ability to make decisions and handle legal issues. You should be able to express yourself clearly in both speech and writing so that the applicant understands, be attentive, and in stressful situations, it is important that you can maintain a professional demeanor and approach. It is an advantage if you are structured and enjoy seeking information to find answers to various questions. The Social Services in Mörbylånga municipality strive for a developing and continuously improving operation, so it is important that you are open to change and think outside the box. Since the workgroup collaborates closely, it is crucial that you have the ability to cooperate and work as a team.

Experience with authority exercises and documentation and handling according to SoL, LVU, and BBIC is meritorious.

A driver's license is required. Approved study certificates must be presented at the interview. A criminal record extract approved by us is also required.
