Analyst in Risk and Vulnerability Analysis

Do you want to work to protect Swedish security interests? Do you want to work with risk and vulnerability analysis of investments in critical operations? Are you also an experienced and sharp analyst in the preparedness area? Then this could be the job for you!

ISP reviews investments in critical operations according to the Act (2023:560) on the review of foreign direct investments, including in essential services. For this assignment, we are looking for an experienced analyst.

Together with a group of analysts, you will provide expert support in the area of critical operations. You will conduct risk and vulnerability analyses in investment cases to support our case handlers and review managers. In addition, you will analyze industries and markets within your area and contribute to developing a long-term knowledge base in critical operations. You will also play a central role in the development of analytical methods within the unit. The role spans a wide range of competencies, allowing you to delve into various issues and a combination of security policy and security matters. Collaboration and contacts with other authorities are natural parts of the work.

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in a relevant field for the position or equivalent competence that the employer assesses as equivalent
  • At least 5 years of current experience in analytical or investigative work within society's crisis preparedness, total defense, supply preparedness, or other relevant areas for the role
  • Very good ability to express yourself both orally and in writing in both Swedish and English

Desirable

  • Experience in qualified analytical or investigative work within society's crisis preparedness, total defense, supply preparedness, or other relevant areas for the role
  • Experience working in a government agency, preferably from a preparedness or defense authority
  • Current knowledge of specific sectors within critical operations such as energy supply, water supply, mineral extraction, biomedicine, and/or IT and communication services

You have excellent analytical skills and can skillfully present and argue for your analysis both orally and in writing. You are accustomed to independently planning your assignments, working methodically and carefully, and delivering within set deadlines. You thrive in close collaboration with colleagues in project form and cooperate in an unpretentious manner to achieve common goals. You have the will and ability to work on method development.

About Employment at ISP

The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date is according to agreement. The position comes with an obligation to be placed in a war situation.

To work with us, Swedish citizenship is required. The position is classified in a security class and a security clearance with background check will be conducted before a hiring decision is made. Since a large part of the tasks involve confidential information, the possibility of remote work is limited.
