ST Physician in Oncology

The Oncology department has a regional mission to provide advanced medical treatment and care to cancer patients primarily in Gästrikland, Hälsingland, and northern Uppland. The operations include day care, outpatient work, inpatient care, radiation therapy, and palliative teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a ST physician, you will be part of the medical team, where we work to see the whole picture of our patients with oncological diseases. You will work in a multidisciplinary team alongside experienced oncologists, nurses, and other specialists, where you will always have supervision to provide the best possible care for patients. The schedule is planned together with supervisors, study directors, and the medical chief, and our ambition is to ensure a safe interaction between theory, practice, learning, and growth.

As a ST physician with us, you will work with:

• participating in the investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with cancer diseases according to national and regional care programs
• participating in multidisciplinary conferences
• outpatient work
• radiation therapy
• inpatient duties
• participating in treatment planning, follow-up, and palliative care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is flexible and can easily adapt to changing situations. You enjoy solving problems and taking on challenges. Your approach is characterized by humility, both towards patients and colleagues, and you remain calm even when the pace is high and situations become pressured.

In the role of ST physician, you should:

• be a licensed physician.

If you have experience working as a physician within Swedish healthcare, it is an advantage.
