Midwife at Hudiksvall Midwifery Clinic

Hudiksvall Midwifery Clinic includes maternal healthcare, contraceptive counseling/STI, and gynecological health checks in northern Hälsingland. Northern Hälsingland includes both Hudiksvall Midwifery Clinic and Youth Clinic as well as Ljusdal Midwifery Clinic and Youth Clinic.

At Hudiksvall Midwifery Clinic, four midwives and two nursing assistants work. The clinic also includes Hudiksvall Youth Clinic, where two midwives are employed. At Ljusdal Midwifery Clinic and Youth Clinic, four midwives and one nursing assistant work. We operate as a joint team but are located in different places.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a midwife, you will meet women and families at various stages of life where you play an important part in promoting health and well-being. You will work independently and as part of a team to provide support and care to women of all ages.

As a midwife with us, you will work with:

• healthcare related to pregnancy, including medical basic programs, fetal diagnostics, health information during pregnancy, and psychosocial work
• supporting parenthood and parent groups with childbirth and parenting preparation
• family planning at the individual level, including contraceptive counseling and STI prevention
• gynecological cervical screening to prevent cervical cancer
• public health work and discussions about lifestyle issues.
