Job Description
In our beautiful archipelago municipality, there are good conditions for conducting active social work. Our strength lies in the advantages of a small municipality with proximity and good cooperation between different actors. As one of our social welfare officers is going to try a new assignment within our unit for a period, we are looking for a social welfare officer for our elderly care group.
Our elderly care group consists of a lead social welfare officer who will guide you in your daily work, along with four other social welfare officers. We are looking for a social welfare officer who investigates and assesses people's needs for support and services. The target group will be elderly individuals. Based on current legislation, you will make decisions about what assistance the applicant is entitled to, such as home care, short-term accommodation, or special housing. We are looking for someone interested in working closely with important authorities/individuals for the users, such as primary care, specialist care, providers, and their own network. You will work in an operation based on the new Social Services Act, focusing on preventive measures, quality, legal certainty, and individual needs.
You will work in a small social office where we help each other and have close cooperation between the four workgroups: Children and Family, Adults, Functional Support, and Elderly Care. You will be part of a friendly workgroup with good cohesion. We offer benefits such as wellness grants, flexible working hours, and the possibility of some remote work.
Qualifications
A degree in social work or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. We prefer candidates with experience in the role of an authority practitioner. Significant emphasis will be placed on experience in investigative work. You should have good ability to collaborate both within and outside the administration and possess strong administrative skills.
You are accustomed to working independently and can express yourself well in both speech and writing. In this workplace, we place great importance on the ability to provide good service and build relationships. Humor, patience, flexibility, and a positive outlook on life are other important qualities. A driver's license is desirable.
