Job Description

In our beautiful archipelago municipality, there are good conditions for conducting active social work. Our strength lies in the advantages of a small municipality with proximity and good collaboration between different actors. We believe in people's own abilities and strive to utilize their own resources and networks.

The social services are undergoing a comprehensive transformation due to our new Social Services Act. We are now expanding our work group and are looking for someone who wants to be part of Öckerö municipality's development journey towards a social service with increased accessibility and high-quality evidence-based methods. The social services in Öckerö municipality are focusing on further developing our operations to provide the best possible service to those we encounter; the children and their parents. We focus on initiating change processes together with the families we meet, conducting safe risk and safety assessments, and involving children, parents, and their networks more actively. This work is carried out by the social office in close collaboration with our internal therapists and housing support staff. As part of our development work, we will start a reception function in the spring of 2026. Therefore, we are looking for a social worker to join our child and family group and work with receiving new applications and reports. The position also includes tasks that will relieve the social workers in the group.

The child and family group consists of senior caseworkers, investigators, child caseworkers, foster care caseworkers, and caseworkers in family law. A common senior social worker will supervise you in your daily work.

You will work in a small social office where we help each other and have close collaboration between the four work groups: Children and Family, Adults, Functional Support, and Elderly Care. You will be part of a friendly work group with good cohesion. You will be offered process supervision, wellness grants, flexible working hours, and the possibility of some remote work.

Qualifications

Degree in social work. We prefer that you have experience in the role of authority practitioner. Great emphasis will be placed on your experience in receiving new applications and reports, as well as your ability to make quick assessments in these situations. It is an advantage if you have extensive experience in investigative work according to SoL within Children and Family and LVU. You should have good ability to collaborate both within and outside the administration, as well as good administrative skills.

You are used to working independently and can express yourself well in both speech and writing. In this workplace, we place great importance on the ability to provide good service and build relationships. Humor, patience, flexibility, and a positive outlook on life are other important qualities.
