Job Responsibilities

Are you interested in wellness and physical activity? Are you driven to inspire and encourage others to move? Then you might be the sports worker we are looking for!

You will primarily be placed and based at the facility in Tuve or Länsmansgården.

Your role includes working proactively in the area, which means meeting citizens at various meeting places to encourage physical activity, safety, and community. You will collaborate with external actors, visit schools, staff outdoor gyms, and participate in various holiday activities to reach out to and inspire as many people as possible. Furthermore, you will lead group training sessions and work with other activities at the facility.

As a sports worker, you will work together with your colleagues to create an attractive and inviting operation at the facility. A significant and important part of this work includes reception and cashier duties, as well as cleaning. You have overall responsibility for maintaining the physical aspects of the facility, primarily the indoor environment, but also the outdoor environment. Together with your colleagues, you will be involved in developing the operation.

The Motion Center and Wellness unit consists of four motion centers: Geråshallen, Tuve, Länsman, and Vättlefjäll. Sports workers are employed at these facilities. The unit also has wellness coordinators and health developers who work broadly within Gothenburg. Together, the unit works innovatively to encourage physical activity, contribute to increased public health, and a vibrant association life.

Working hours are during the day and evening, weekdays, and weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has completed high school education and is trained as a gym instructor and/or group training instructor. You have experience working with gym and group training, such as instructing in the gym and leading individuals and groups in training. Furthermore, you are accustomed to meeting people from different backgrounds in a wellness and physical activity environment. You have experience and good knowledge in service work and understand the importance of maintaining a very high level of service. It is an advantage if you have experience in cashier and reception work. You have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. A B driver's license is required for the position, as you need to move between our facilities.

With strong commitment and enthusiasm for your work, you take initiative, start activities, and achieve results whether you work alone or together with others.
