At the same time, we need to develop our resilience against threats and risks that may be linked to where we are or internationally. As one of our colleagues has chosen to move on in their career, we are now looking for an engaged and knowledgeable information security coordinator for our administration Närhälsan within the Västra Götaland region.

The Närhälsan Development Department is a support function for all parts of the administration's operations within Närhälsan. We work for efficient and optimal IS/IT solutions, and the work is based on the needs of the operations with a regional perspective. The department is divided into two units, “Digital Systems” and “Quality and Development”. The position we are now recruiting for is within the Digital Systems unit.

About the job

You will work with coordinating information security issues across our entire administration. This requires that you have contact with several partners, including other staff departments in Närhälsan, central functions in VGR, and other administrations. The work is based on applicable legislation in the area, including the NIS Directive, PDL, OSL, GDPR, and the Security Protection Act. The role includes maintaining and developing Närhälsan's work with information security. You have a strategic and operational responsibility for information security in Närhälsan and ensure that it is done in a systematic and coordinated manner.

The focus of the position will be on:

• initiating and participating in information security classification of information assets and risk analyses.
• contributing to the development and implementation of information security strategies (LIS)
• monitoring and reviewing security incidents and suggesting improvements.
• educating and informing staff in the area.
• collaborating with other operations within Närhälsan and the Västra Götaland region at large, to ensure that security measures are integrated into all technical solutions.
• keeping updated on current threats and trends in information security.

As an information security coordinator, you will also be part of Närhälsan's function for standby officer (TIB). This means that you will have an important role in ensuring that our operations are prepared and can handle various types of crises and incidents. In close collaboration with our Security function, the work will also include handling security protection issues and participating in civil defense work.

About you

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic education for the assignment, such as in law or information security, or alternatively other education or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent. It is advantageous if you have:

• work experience in information security
• work experience in data protection
• work experience in public operations and understanding of how a politically governed organization works
• work experience in risk management and incident management.

• The position may be subject to security clearance with placement in a security class.
• A driving license (B) is a requirement for the position.
• The place of work is at one of Närhälsan's four offices in Vänersborg, Skövde, Borås, or Gothenburg.
