Facility Manager Wanted for Production Department in Arboga

The Production Department is part of the Operations Unit and is responsible for production planning and monitoring the IT/Tele support delivered both centrally and locally within the Swedish Armed Forces. The Production Department is also responsible for developing, describing, and monitoring our IT and Tele processes, receiving and coordinating efforts to resolve major operational disruptions in our production environment, planning the implementation of significant changes, and overseeing the introduction of changes in our IT systems.

Main Responsibilities

As a Facility Manager, you will primarily work to ensure robust operational environments with sound operating conditions for our IT spaces and data centers according to agreements with our clients. The Facility function serves as a contact point within the organization both internally and with external actors. The tasks involve considerable travel.

The responsibilities of the Facility Manager include:

  • Leading and distributing work within the function
  • Overall responsibility for designated processes in Operations
  • Explaining in a simple and pedagogical way to others what the Facility process is and what effects our services will provide.
  • Continuously developing methods, processes, support systems, routines, and/or activities to streamline daily operations.
  • Informing, educating, and clarifying to colleagues within the operations organization.
  • Working collaboratively with the Capacity process aimed at creating standardized and robust IT room environments and ensuring suitable IT spaces with sound operating conditions.

You will be part of a team that, in addition to issues related to IT spaces, also handles capacity issues related to our operational environments.

Qualifications

  • Higher education in IT Operations, Construction Process, or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways
  • Training/certification in ITIL
  • Documented work experience in similar tasks
  • Good ability to use the Office suite
  • Very good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
  • Driving license B for manual transmission

Desirable

  • Good knowledge of regulations, construction principles, and supply systems regarding IT room installations
  • Experience working with IT spaces
  • Experience in active monitoring and network infrastructure
  • Experience working on projects
