Norra Västmanlands Municipal Technology Association is Hiring an Operations Technician

Norra Västmanlands Kommunalteknikförbund, NVK, is a municipal association where the members are the municipalities of Fagersta and Norberg. The main office is located in Fagersta with a branch office in Norberg. The association is responsible for the operation of residential properties, operational properties, streets and roads, water and sewage, parks, forests, recreational facilities, IT, and cleaning services. NVK is ultimately led by its board, appointed by the municipalities of Fagersta and Norberg. The board has the overall responsibility, while the association manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization. NVK has approximately 150 employees and a turnover of 400 million.

Your Mission

As an operations technician with us, you will work to ensure that the organization's IT systems, servers, networks, and applications function stably and efficiently.

The role includes installing, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT infrastructure as well as providing technical support to users. It may also involve working with security measures and documenting changes in the systems.

As an operations technician, you will among other things:

• Install and configure servers, network equipment, and applications in our local cluster.
• Participate in the development of our cloud-based operating environment in Microsoft 365.
• Monitor systems, manage backups, and identify and resolve errors and operational disruptions.
• Work with IT security, updates, and management of local PKI infrastructure and certificates.
• Document actions and changes in the systems.
