Licensed Psychologist at BUP Skärholmen

Do you want to be part of an organization that makes a difference for children and adolescents? BUP Skärholmen is looking for a licensed psychologist who, together with other staff members, works to provide our patients with good care and a positive experience.

BUP Skärholmen is a child and adolescent psychiatric outpatient clinic serving the areas of Hägersten-Liljeholmen, Älvsjö, Skärholmen, and northern Botkyrka. We are located in pleasant premises in Skärholmen's mall. Our mission is to assess and treat children and adolescents aged 0-17 with moderate to severe psychiatric conditions.

At BUP Skärholmen, you will find yourself in an environment with broad and specialized competence. We are a staff group of over 45 employees, consisting of specialist doctors, resident doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. We also have a collaborative social worker who supports cooperation with other actors, such as habilitation, social services, and schools. We strive for psychologists in our workplace to primarily work on what psychologists are trained to do.

Job Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will involve child and adolescent psychiatric work in outpatient care, primarily focusing on psychiatric diagnostics and psychological treatment. Neuropsychiatric assessments may also occur.

Qualifications

You who apply should be a licensed psychologist with a focus on CBT. Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry is an advantage.

BUP Skärholmen is part of BUP Stockholm. BUP Stockholm offers specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents aged 0 to 17 within Stockholm County. We are part of the Stockholm County Healthcare Area (SLSO), which is a healthcare provider within Region Stockholm. Together, we are about 1,000 employees who each year meet over 22,000 children, adolescents, and their families.

The position is filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to applicable regulations.

In patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:

  • background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
  • in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
