We are looking for a dedicated nurse to our team with an interest in gastroenterology who wants to develop with us. Here you will be part of an exciting everyday life with a lot of joy at work, good camaraderie, and a focus on patient care. Our profile patients are those with inflammatory bowel disease and liver diseases such as liver cirrhosis. Many of the diseases are chronic, which allows you as a nurse to follow the patients over time and develop a close patient relationship. We have a part-time education coordinator responsible for developing and supporting the nursing staff. With us, you will participate in regular lectures and seminars and help create the structure according to your wishes.

Operations

The Gastro Section at Danderyd Hospital has undergone expansion in recent years and is now one of the largest cohesive units for gastroenterology and hepatology in Sweden. The section consists of both outpatient and inpatient care in close collaboration. The ward has 12 beds, most of which are occupied by our profile patients.

About the Job

The work as a nurse with us is varied, and you will develop your skills in both nursing and medicine. On the ward, nurses and nursing assistants work together. As a nurse, you are responsible for specific nursing care. You lead, make assessments, and prescribe nursing measures. We work in interdisciplinary teams with, among others, social workers, dietitians, and physiotherapists. There is also a coordinator who handles all incoming calls and a care coordinator responsible for the discharge process.

We have a close collaboration with our day care services, and there is an opportunity for rotation between the ward and day care. As a rotating nurse, you will have a unique opportunity to follow our patients throughout the care chain.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse with an interest in working with people who have chronic diseases. Experience in gastroenterology, hepatology, and/or emergency care is an advantage.

We appreciate personal qualities such as the ability to work independently, flexibility, a positive demeanor, and taking the initiative for improvements based on the needs of the operation.
