Personal Ombudsman at Kommunsamverkan Cura Individutveckling

Kommunsamverkan Cura Individutveckling is a municipal association with members from the municipalities of Blekinge. Our mission is to offer services in the psychosocial and neuropsychiatric fields, where coordinated efforts provide significant advantages. We provide care, support, and treatment services for children, adolescents, and families. Within the autism spectrum disorder, we offer high school education with boarding, group housing, and daily activities.

The personal ombudsmen are organizationally part of the Consulting Group together with family counseling and family law, led by a common manager. You will be one of three Personal Ombudsmen, and your placement will be in Karlshamn. The work includes home visits as well as travel to our meeting locations in other municipalities in Blekinge.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who has an approach characterized by respect and warmth. You want to help create a safe and well-functioning living situation for the target group.

The service is aimed at adults with significant mental disabilities that cause difficulties in daily life. These are individuals with a great need for support and assistance in their interactions with authorities and healthcare.

As a Personal Ombudsman, your primary task will be to work together with the individual to identify and articulate their needs. Then, together with the person, you will work to ensure that the interventions are planned, coordinated, and implemented. You will support the person in their interactions with various authorities and healthcare providers. The work also includes identifying systemic shortcomings within or between authorities and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

We require that you have at least three years of post-secondary education from a university/college. The focus should be on social work, behavioral science, or psychiatry. Experience working with the target group is an advantage. As a personal ombudsman, it is important that you have good patience and are a good listener.

You must have a B driver's license (manual). Cura provides a car.
