Cura Individutveckling is a municipal association whose members are the municipalities of Blekinge. Our mission is to offer services in the psychosocial and neuropsychiatric fields, where coordinated efforts provide significant advantages. We offer care, support, and treatment services for children, adolescents, and families. Within the autism spectrum disorder, we provide high school education with boarding, group housing, and daily activities.

Villa Mjällby Youth Unit is a home for care or accommodation (HVB) for the placement of youth with psychosocial issues. We have space for seven girls and boys aged 13 to 20 years. The operation works on behalf of the social services and accepts placements both under SoL and LVU. Villa Mjällby is based on an environmental therapeutic and systems theoretical foundation. All staff are trained in low-arousal approaches and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

The staff currently consists of 10 caregivers, of which two work at night. There is a manager and an assistant manager present during daytime weekdays. At other times, a manager is on call.

We are now looking for substitutes for the summer holiday periods: Period 1 week 25-28 and Period 2 week 29-32. Please indicate in your application which periods you are interested in or if you wish to work both periods.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You want to help create a safe and well-functioning environment for the youth. Those we meet may have challenging behavior and sometimes act out due to previous experiences and trauma.

As a caregiver, you will participate in providing care and treatment to the youth. You will work with practical client work where you have conversations and do activities together with the youth. The work includes documentation, e.g., record-keeping. You will also have contact with other actors such as social services and family members.

QUALIFICATIONS

Your approach is characterized by safety, respect, and warmth.

We want you to have or be pursuing some form of post-secondary education in social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science. You need to have experience from work in similar operations.

The job responsibilities place high demands on the ability to create contact and relationships and collaborate. Based on the needs of the youth, we will place great emphasis on personal suitability such as empathetic ability, personal maturity, and good self-awareness.

You must have a B driver's license (manual) and a valid extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record.
