We want to recruit an experienced IT technician focused on technical system management for the operations and infrastructure IT unit, in the IT department for Arvika and Eda municipalities.

We are looking for someone with a strong interest in technology, with experience in the operational management of servers, databases, and applications, who also has a passion for helping people. The operations and infrastructure IT unit is responsible for the operational management of the IT environment for Arvika and Eda municipalities and is tasked with delivering a stable and secure IT infrastructure so that all operations can work with IT as support. You will be part of a team of ten people.

The position is a temporary contract, starting as soon as possible and lasting until 2026-12-31, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

In the role of technical system manager, you will ensure operational reliability, stability, and technical development primarily related to our operations' IT systems. We expect you to have good knowledge and experience in strategic IT operations. You will have operational responsibility for the technical stability and security of the systems, as well as being responsible for the dialogue between IT, suppliers, and the operations' system managers/owners. Through engagement and technical support to the operations' system managers/owners, the systems can develop in line with the needs of the operations.

Qualifications

A valid diploma from at least a 3-year upper secondary education with a focus on IT or equivalent.

It is desirable that you have a degree in computer science/information systems with a focus on system administration and/or system development.

Work Experience

We see that you have at least three years of experience working with strategic IT operations. You have a strong interest in technology and extensive experience managing technology and IT systems such as servers, databases, and applications primarily running in Microsoft's ecosystem.

We would also like you to have experience in the operational management of an IT environment based in the municipal or public sector or a similar IT environment.

To thrive in the role, we see that you are an outgoing person who finds it easy to create and maintain contacts. This gives you an understanding of how to develop cooperation between the operations of Arvika and Eda municipalities, IT, and their suppliers, thereby creating a long-term trusting collaboration. You express yourself well and communicate in a simple and clear manner, especially with the ability to convey security and trust to our users. You should be helpful, professional, and have a positive attitude with the ability to solve problems independently and efficiently.

The work requires that you can speak and write Swedish fluently. A B driver's license is required for the position.

In the IT department for Arvika and Eda municipalities, about 20 people work within the two units User Support IT and Operations and Infrastructure IT. We are located at Arvika Business Center (ANC), in newly renovated premises. There are good communication opportunities to and from Arvika, and ANC is strategically located close to both bus and train stations.
