TurnTime Technologies AB has been the world's leading supplier of on-board cargo handling systems for over 35 years, offering efficient and sustainable systems for passenger and cargo aircraft. At our head office in Lund, Sweden, with about 25 employees, we develop cargo handling systems for the transport of general cargo. Since 1986, we have delivered more than 4,000 cargo systems to about 40 airlines globally and are today the only global supplier of complete aircraft equipped systems with approval to design, produce, and carry out maintenance according to EASA regulations.

Development Engineer at Global TurnTime Technologies - Lund

Do you want to provide the aviation world with smart cargo handling systems? Have you previously worked with aviation technology or another area within Mechanical/Mechatronic design? At market-leading TurnTime Technologies, headquartered in Lund, you will have the opportunity to work with large and global airlines, aircraft manufacturers (Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer), and drive product development towards aviation authorities (EASA, FAA). As a Development Engineer, you will work with highly skilled and experienced individuals in the industry and the company's products. Together, you will manage and drive complex technical projects from the planning stage to implementation and further to delivery, management, and support. The role includes development/design, calculations, testing, and technical documentation.

We are now looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility and likes to drive activities at a high technical level.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing overarching technical concept solutions, qualification proposals, and driving them through.
  • Producing technical documentation, e.g., qualification plans, test plans, design/drawings.
  • Contributing in-depth technical knowledge to product development projects (in areas such as design/requirements specification/validation/calculations).
  • Providing technical customer support based on feedback from customers with systems in operation.
  • Actively driving process improvements for R&D.
  • Providing on-site technical support during system installations when needed.
  • Acting as technical sales support during customer sales when needed.

Your background:

We are looking for someone who is a graduate Civil/University Engineer with solid experience in mechanical design, preferably with knowledge in calculations. It is advantageous if you have experience in aviation development/documentation, have worked with the Machinery Directive, and have experience with SolidWorks. We also prefer candidates with experience working with materials such as composites or aluminum. As a person, you are analytical and unpretentious.

About the position:

The position is a permanent full-time employment. Start date is negotiable. Location is at the head office in Lund. Travel may occur to some extent in the role.
