Do you want to work in a vital community service where your technical expertise contributes to safe drinking water, efficient wastewater treatment, and sustainable solutions for the future? Do you thrive in a role where you can combine technology, project management, and development work? Then this could be the position for you!

About the role

As a Facility Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a broad role with a varied daily routine, where you contribute to ensuring high operational reliability, compliance with environmental requirements, and a good working environment – both today and in the future.

Your role and responsibilities

The role involves close collaboration with operations, maintenance, project managers, and external stakeholders, focusing on long-term, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating larger maintenance measures and projects together with external contractors
  • Investigating and proposing new technical solutions and preparing tender documents for procurement
  • Working on the replacement of older equipment and preparing decision documents and life cycle analyses
  • Participating as a technical specialist in projects, procurement, planning, and technical investigations
  • Being responsible for assigned projects with a focus on time, cost, and scope. Construction site safety coordination or the client's responsibility is also included in these projects.
  • Creating, developing, and managing technical standards and ensuring updated technical documentation
  • Contributing to workplace safety issues, workplace investigations, and the development of P&ID, functional and system descriptions

In addition to the above, you will drive smaller projects and participate in larger improvement, renovation, and new investment projects for our water and wastewater facilities, such as water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, and pressure boosting stations.

This is you

We are looking for someone who has completed post-secondary education in areas such as water supply, mechanical, or process engineering and has several years of relevant work experience. This could be from technical facilities, maintenance, or projects within water supply or other process industries. Alternatively, you may have longer experience in a similar profession and at least a completed high school education. It is advantageous if you have worked with contractors and suppliers in the public sector and if you have training as a BAS P/U or project management education.

Regardless of your background, you are confident in your skills and motivated to contribute to the future of water supply – in a role where you can develop both professionally and personally.

You as a person

To thrive in this role, we see that you:

  • Take responsibility for your work and plan and drive your tasks independently
  • Are confident in your role as a technical specialist and dare to act when needed
  • Are analytical, solution-oriented, and have the ability to see the big picture
  • Enjoy independent work but value collaboration
  • Have the ability to explain complex issues clearly and build good relationships both internally and externally

Other requirements

  • Good computer skills and a digital working approach
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • English in writing
  • Driver's license B

Conditions and application

The position is a permanent employment, with a six-month probation period. Your working hours are on weekdays. We apply ongoing selection, so you should not wait to submit your application, but it must be submitted no later than February 15.

We conduct background checks on final candidates.
