Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to ensure the network operates effectively. In this exciting assignment, you will have the opportunity to work in an innovative and growing company with great potential for development. The Project Manager's overall responsibility will be to plan, execute, and successfully complete projects within time, budget, and to meet project goals. The position may involve travel within Sweden, and you will be based at the client's office in Stockholm. To be considered for the role, you need to have worked as a project manager in fiber for at least 5 years in the last 7 years and have experience in construction law. Selection is ongoing. Responsibilities
Tasks:
- Develop a detailed project plan that includes objectives, timelines, budget, resources, and risk analysis.
- Organize and lead the project team, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring the project follows the plan.
- Drive improvements in our project methodology and act as a mentor for other project managers.
- Serve as the communication hub within the project, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and expectations.
- Ensure that necessary resources (including personnel, equipment, budget, and subcontractors) are available and used effectively.
- Identify and manage potential risks and develop a plan to address them if they arise.
- Ensure that project outcomes meet quality requirements and specifications and that the work environment complies with laws and regulations.
- Monitor the project's finances and ensure it stays within budget.
- Ensure that changes and variations in the project are managed so that margins are not compromised.
- Manage timelines and deadlines to ensure the project is completed on time.
- Create regular reports on the project's progress and status for stakeholders and management.
- Resolve conflicts and challenges that may arise within the project team or with external parties.
- Evaluate the project upon completion to draw lessons and improve the process for future projects.
- Drive and participate with expertise in tendering and prepare documentation for quotes.
- Build good relationships with existing and new customers and suppliers in the industry.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has
- Successfully completed several complex/large projects in the role of project manager.
- Worked with large procurements against customers and suppliers.
- Very good knowledge of construction law.
- Very good knowledge of industry-specific methods and tools, such as AB04/ABT06, AMP, and variation management.
- Good knowledge of methods and best practices in project management, which can be demonstrated through practical experience with project management planning tools such as Excel, Office 365, MS Project, IFS, or similar.
- Technical competence in mobile, fiber networks, and transmission stations.
- At least 5 years of experience working on larger fiber projects in the last 7 years.
- Technical high school education and higher education in a relevant field.
- You are a certified project manager (e.g., PMP certified or IPMA level B/C certification).
- Experience working with the Swedish Transport Administration.
- Experience implementing service businesses.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
- Driver's license (B).
Meritorious are
- Several years of experience working on the client side.
- Have driven improvements in project methodologies and acted as a mentor for other project managers.
- Experience working as a technician and designer in fixed networks.
