The Social Administration in Vimmerby municipality is now looking for a medically responsible nurse (MAS) in a combined position as a business developer for Close Care. As a medically responsible nurse (MAS) and business developer, you play a key role in our quality and development work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The MAS is responsible for overarching health and medical care issues in the municipality. The assignment is governed by legislation and aims to ensure that patients receive safe, appropriate, and quality care. The MAS is responsible for:

  • ensuring that patients receive safe and appropriate health and medical care of good quality
  • ensuring that there are routines for contacting doctors and other health and medical care personnel when needed
  • ensuring that patients receive the health and medical care prescribed by the doctor
  • ensuring that the routines for medication management are safe
  • ensuring that decisions regarding delegation are patient-safe
  • maintaining patient records
  • handling deviations with a focus on health and medical care
  • making Lex Maria reports as needed
  • reporting to the board and administrative management regarding, for example, deviation handling.

You follow set goals and work according to legislation, guidelines, and other governing documents within the organization and are responsible for ensuring that your results are quality-assured.

As MAS, you will work closely with the administration's new MAR (medically responsible for rehabilitation) and the operations manager with health and medical care responsibilities to ensure the quality of health and medical care processes, create routines, and follow up and evaluate patient safety and care quality. You will also meet regularly with other operations managers within the Social Administration. The MAS and MAR will also have close cooperation with the administration's quality coordinator, who works with follow-up and quality based on the Social Administration's management system. You have an important supportive role for the operations in nursing issues related to health and medical care and collaborate with other care providers.

You are part of the county's MAS network and other forums both locally and in the county. You monitor the external environment and write a patient safety report each year. It may occur that you present issues related to the assignment to the administration's management group and board.

The assignment as a business developer for Close Care is shared with MAR and involves supporting the operations within the Social Administration in implementing new working methods and new tools. You will initiate and drive projects in collaboration with managers and employees. Collaboration should occur both internally within the Social Administration and the municipality, as well as with external actors such as other municipalities, Region Kalmar County, and the Municipal Association. An important part is to conduct environmental monitoring in the area to drive the work forward.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed nurse with further education as a district nurse or in elderly care.
  • Experience working in municipal primary care.
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Possession of a B driver's license.

Meritorious:

  • Experience working as MAS.
  • Experience working systematically and drafting documents for the board and developing well-structured routines.
  • Familiarity with working in operational systems such as Lifecare, Cosmic Link, and Stella.
  • Experience working in a politically governed organization or public sector.
  • Experience driving quality and development work in operations based on participation and collaboration.
