The Swedish Police Authority is the largest authority in Sweden with approximately 40,700 employees across the country. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society.
The Police Region North is the largest region in terms of area. The region consists of the four northernmost counties in Sweden and is organized into four police areas: Jämtland, Norrbotten, Västerbotten, and Västernorrland, which are divided into 12 local police areas. Furthermore, there are three regional units: the operational unit, the intelligence unit, and the investigation unit, a regional office, as well as national departments represented in the region to support police operations.
The Local Police Area of Södra Ångermanland is part of the police area of Västernorrland. Within the local police area, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, as well as support and service.
We are now looking for administrators in administrative law for the Local Police Area of Södra Ångermanland. With us, you will develop alongside engaged and friendly colleagues and gain valuable experience. At the same time, you will contribute to increasing safety and reducing crime in Sweden. Are you ready for an important task?
RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now seeking employees who will handle cases concerning the Public Order Act and appointments. Handling other administrative law matters may also be relevant. As an administrator in administrative law, you will also work with searching legal texts, learning new legislation, and new working methods. The handling of administrative law cases primarily takes place in the police's digital case management system as a working tool. In addition, some administrative tasks may also occur.
Public Order Act
You will primarily work within the area of the Public Order Act, where you will handle cases based on the Public Order Act. The cases mainly deal with permits for public gatherings and events where the administrator makes decisions. The tasks consist mainly of obtaining opinions both internally and externally to then assess and make decisions in your own cases.
Appointments
You will manage various types of appointments that come through already made decisions. The majority of incoming cases concern security guards, but also appointments of, for example, airport controllers, maritime and port security controllers, and road transport leaders may occur. Before an appointment is issued, the applicant's compliance with the law and suitability is investigated. In addition to issuing appointments, the administrator is also responsible for continuously assessing the suitability to hold appointments.
Business trips and overnight stays within the police area's locations may occur.
QUALIFICATIONS
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- A completed upper secondary school diploma or other education combined with relevant work experience that the employer deems relevant
- At least 1 year of current experience in handling administrative operations that the employer deems relevant
- Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
- A valid driver's license (B)
We also consider it advantageous if you have:
- Current experience in handling from the public sector that the employer deems relevant
- Experience in handling administrative-like matters, e.g., within the Public Order Act and appointments, preferably also including independent decision-making
- Experience in collaboration outside your own organization, e.g., collaboration with other authorities and community actors
Personal Qualities
To succeed in the role of administrator, you should enjoy working independently and at times in a high-paced environment. In handling various cases, you need to be structured and meticulous in relation to existing routines and administrative requirements. You are interested in learning new legislation and new working methods. The work requires a good ability to prioritize between tasks and, when necessary, be flexible and switch between different tasks and quickly adapt to the needs of the organization. You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others solve tasks, as well as good collaboration skills.
We will place great emphasis on personal qualities and suitability.
