Research Position in Human Geography

We are seeking a researcher in human geography to work on ongoing and planned research projects focusing on the political economy of the city and geographical inequality. The position is linked to specific research projects with clearly defined research questions and goals.

The main tasks consist of conducting research within these projects. This includes data collection and analysis, scientific writing, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and actively participating in project meetings and research collaborations. The researcher is expected to contribute to the common results of the projects and work closely with other project participants.

The position includes some teaching in the form of supervision at the undergraduate and/or master's level in human geography. Teaching is limited and adapted to ensure that the majority of working hours are devoted to research work within the projects.

Qualifications

  • The applicant must have a PhD in human geography/cultural geography.
  • Documented experience in research on the political economy of the city and/or geographical inequality is required.
  • Good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form is required.
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a research group is essential.

Experience in project-based research, interdisciplinary collaborations, supervision, and participation in research applications is advantageous.

This is a permanent position at 40% with a start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
