Case Officer for the Coordination Unit within the Forensic Psychiatry Department

We are now looking for a case officer for the coordination unit within the forensic psychiatry department based in Stockholm.
Your Assignment
Your tasks include writing and preparing reports, as well as participating in the processing of various development projects. The assignment also includes assisting with data for various types of follow-ups, such as during annual reports and other operational follow-ups. You will compile and respond to referrals and assist in project follow-ups, as well as participate in the department's general development work. The assignment involves providing support in the handling of strategic issues.
You will belong to the department's coordination unit and support the coordination manager in the coordination work. You will also assist the department head and other unit heads within the forensic psychiatry department.
Qualifications
- Academic education in political science, public administration, or another equivalent field.
- Experience in case processing work within the public sector.
Meritorious
- Work experience in a similar role in the state.
- Experience working in project form.
- Relevant work experience for the position, for example in the forensic psychiatric field or within the legal chain.
To succeed in this role, you need to be a skilled writer with a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. You need to have good analytical skills and a high sense of quality. You should be easy to collaborate with, communicative, and solution-focused. As a person, you are structured, meticulous, and have a good ability to create order and prioritize in complex workflows. You enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with others.

Employment
The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date is according to agreement. Placement in Stockholm.
The authority's units are located in various places in Sweden, so travel in the service may occur.
Depending on the needs of the operation, there is an opportunity to enter into an individual agreement on remote work for part of the working time.
The National Board of Forensic Medicine applies individual salary setting.

The National Board of Forensic Medicine has received two new assignments – to perform risk assessments on behalf of the Prison and Probation Service regarding conditional release and to perform special risk investigations regarding security sentences on behalf of the court. The operation is in a state of change, and new employees are being recruited.

The forensic psychiatry department investigates on behalf of the court whether a person suspected of a crime committed it under the influence of a serious mental disorder. We also conduct risk assessments when life-sentenced individuals apply for a time-limited sentence. The forensic psychiatry department consists of two forensic psychiatric examination units located in Stockholm and Gothenburg, as well as the coordination unit located at the headquarters in Stockholm.
