In the spring of 2026, we will establish new core operations within daily activities at several locations in Gävle. The operations will provide adapted premises and environments for individuals with significant to moderate support needs. The focus will be shaped based on the users' interests and individual needs. You will be part of a team that together creates a safe, developing, and meaningful environment for our users.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you confident in your professional role and enjoy taking initiative and creating opportunities? Now you have the chance to be involved from the start as we build a new operation within daily activities. We are looking for someone who is confident even when the frameworks are new and not fully established and who wants to contribute with commitment, creativity, and structure.
In the new operation, you will meet adults with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, possibly in combination with multiple disabilities, who have a decision on daily activities according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). As a support assistant, you are a key person in creating a rich day for each individual. You will work both individually and in groups, and you are confident in leading and inspiring. Personal care is included, as well as manual transfers or with aids.
Within EDV, the Daily Activities Unit, we actively work with user influence, and our work is based on a pedagogical approach and working method (PFA) that clarifies and adapts tasks based on each individual. We have a low-arousal approach to create structure, clarity, and safety. You should be able to work independently based on goals, guidelines, activities, and individual implementation plans. Together with colleagues or individually, you are responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing the operations.
For the position, your main task is to ensure that users receive the right support and are given the opportunity to develop based on their own abilities through individual and group-adapted activities. The work is based on a structured working method, and in your approach, you work to meet the user at their level. In our operations, you work with the user at the center by you and your colleagues creating a safe and developing environment in the workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- Care and nursing program, child and leisure program with a focus on social work, support assistant training, or other vocational training at the upper secondary level aimed at the target group
- Good knowledge and experience of working within LSS. At least two years of experience within the target group.
- Training or knowledge in low-arousal approaches.
- Experience in documentation within LSS, social journals, and implementation plans.
- Driving license B
Meritorious for the position
- Experience working individually with users.
- Experience in starting new operations, having been involved in a startup.

You are structured and have the ability to plan, set goals, and follow up on work. At the same time, you are curious, creative, and flexible, seeing opportunities in changes and finding new solutions.
