Project Manager for Supply Preparedness
The Logistics and Service business area has a regional mission to deliver internal logistics and services to hospitals and health centers throughout Region Gävleborg. We have approximately 150 employees in the locations of Gävle, Sandviken, Bollnäs, Hudiksvall, Söderhamn, and Ljusdal. Together, we develop flows, standardize work methods, and reduce waste, always with a focus on quality, work environment, and continuous improvements. Our goal is to deliver the right services with the right content, in the right way, and at the right time.
Within the area, we are responsible for several services, including material handling, textile supply, internal transport, bed and cart supply, waste management, cleaning, and meal supply.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone who wants to take a key role in strengthening Region Gävleborg's supply preparedness. As the Project Manager for Supply Preparedness, you will work both strategically and operationally to ensure that the region has access to necessary consumables and services in everyday life and during disruptions in the supply chain.
You will be a central actor in the work to enhance the region's supply capacity and will have many points of contact, both internally and externally. The role involves close collaboration with our supply units, the security department, and the preparedness physician. Together with other business areas, you will drive the development and establishment of capabilities that strengthen the region's preparedness.
Your main responsibilities
- plan and coordinate activities to enhance supply capacity for consumables
- review material lists per business area to optimize inventory
- scenario planning based on different events
- participate in the development and follow-up of supply preparedness plans
- collaborate with our operations, suppliers, and other community actors
- conduct risk analyses and contribute to continuity planning
- follow up and report capability enhancements according to a clear action plan
- participate in collaboration forums internally and with other regions and authorities regarding supply issues.

QUALIFICATIONS
As a person, you are structured and have the ability to create order and drive work forward even in challenging situations. The role involves overall responsibility for the region's work with supply preparedness, which requires you to solve problems independently, manage complexity, and adopt a holistic perspective to see connections and create long-term solutions. You are analytical and meticulous, with the ability to produce documentation and draw conclusions that support decisions. Furthermore, you are self-driven and proactive while having good collaboration skills and enjoy working closely with various operations and actors.
To succeed in this role, you need
- a university degree in engineering or economics with a focus on purchasing, logistics, or warehousing, or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer
- experience in logistics, community preparedness, or other experience deemed equivalent by the employer
- experience in purchasing or inventory management
- experience in project management
- experience in analyzing risks in supply chains and proposing measures
- very good knowledge of Excel and experience working with advanced functions, analyses, and reports.
It is meritorious if you have experience working with regional or national preparedness and knowledge of consumables and services within healthcare. We also prefer that you have worked with supply chains.
