Supplier Quality Engineer

The position is a consulting assignment via Framtiden until August 2026, with chances for extension and long-term continuation with the company.

About the role

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will work to ensure and develop quality work within the organization's processes, focusing on suppliers, production, and assembly. The role involves following up and analyzing results, identifying areas for improvement, and driving actions to both ensure and elevate quality.

You will be part of the quality department and responsible for ensuring that deliveries of goods and services meet applicable requirements from goods receipt to finished product. The work combines analytical ability and practical understanding of manufacturing processes.

You will work closely with colleagues in purchasing, production, and engineering, as well as maintain continuous contact with suppliers to follow up, analyze, and drive quality improvements.

Examples of tasks

  • Conduct root cause analyses and manage quality deviations – identify, analyze, and drive solutions to problems in deliveries or processes
  • Review existing suppliers, certificates, and quality documentation and ensure that agreed requirements are met
  • Participate in and develop quality processes related to purchasing and production
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of routines and working methods within supplier quality

About you

We are looking for someone with a technical background and several years of experience in an industrial environment. You have analytical skills, enjoy a role that involves both data analysis and practical problem-solving, and like to collaborate with different functions in the organization. You are meticulous, methodical, and have a knack for creating structure in your work.

Requirements

  • Option 1: Experience from the manufacturing industry, in a role related to quality work
  • Option 2: Experience as a preparer or production engineer combined with relevant education
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Understanding of supplier quality, purchasing, and production

Meritorious

  • Experience in root cause analysis and deviation management
  • Experience in supplier assessments
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing methods
  • Previous experience in roles such as quality engineer, production engineer, or preparer
