Hägerstensåsens school has approximately 530 students in grades F-6.

Responsibilities
As a childcare worker, you will work in the primary school and after-school care, providing students with the learning and care they need to develop based on their own circumstances. You will help create a developing, meaningful, and positive environment for students where they can reach their full potential.
Together with the responsible teacher and other staff at the school, you will be involved in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the activities based on national goals and guidelines (curriculum). Care and supervision of students are other important parts of the role.
The tasks are varied and diverse throughout the workday. This may include being available as support for students in the classroom, participating/leaving indoor and outdoor activities during the school day, breaks, and in after-school activities.
You will work under the instruction of the responsible teacher and collaborate with them on how the work should be carried out. Your role also includes maintaining close contact and collaboration with other staff within the school, students, and the students' guardians.
Qualifications
You should have a high school education in the nursing program, child and youth studies, or another education deemed equivalent by the employer.
We are looking for someone who can create situations where students succeed, and your view of children is characterized by respect and the belief that all students can and want to develop. You should be able to build relationships and, in your daily work, stimulate students' interest and encourage them to learn. In your work, you use a low-arousal approach, are professional, and can adapt your communication based on the situation. You are empathetic, mature, have good judgment, and can set boundaries. In your role, you are secure and recognize the importance of being an adult role model. You can work independently and take initiative. In your interactions with students and guardians, you are clear and attentive to the students' needs. You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
