Your role
As a social worker in the youth group, you have an important function for young people living in vulnerable situations. It is an exciting and meaningful role where you make a difference for the youth and their families. You work with preliminary assessments, investigations, support, and follow-up of interventions and placements for children, youth, and their parents.
We work based on BBIC (Children's Needs in Focus). We strive to provide families with support at an early stage and as much as possible in their home environment. The work involves exercising authority according to SoL and LVU. The tasks include assessing the individual's care needs, making decisions, implementing decisions, documenting, collaborating, coordinating interventions, supporting, and motivating. Our goal is to provide the residents of Skärholmen with a legally secure and good response in their contact with us.
Meeting our youth and their families in conversations is an important part of the work. As support, we use various methods for assessment and conversation, such as SAVRY and MI. Our aim is to work based on the fundamental principles of Signs of Safety and to use the tools, all in order to meet families where they are and to carry out qualitative investigations and assessments. We also actively work to make the youth more involved in all parts of the process, both during investigation, intervention, and placement.
Your skills and experience
A degree in Social Work is required for the position.
The following are meritorious:
- Experience of exercising authority within social services, particularly in the area of children and youth
- Documented knowledge in BBIC and Signs of Safety
- Documented knowledge in SAVRY, Conversations with Children and/or MI
- Very good ability to express oneself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- Good ability to document and compile BBIC decision support
As a person, you are present, clear, and accommodating in your approach. You are engaged and have the will to help and establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. The position requires you to have the ability to flexibly and structurally drive the work forward both independently and in collaboration with colleagues and partners.
You who are applying have the ability to prioritize, make correct assessments, and make decisions in various situations. It is important that you have a strong interest in continuing to develop and improve working methods within social work together with the team.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Ongoing selection takes place during the recruitment process.
Your application
We recruit without a personal letter to strengthen the focus on the competencies and experiences required for this role. In assessing your application, we will only base it on your CV and a number of questions you will be asked to answer when applying for the position.
The position includes a background check, and applicants must present an extract from the police criminal record before employment occurs.
Welcome with your application!
