Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions.
We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
We who work in the children's units 1 and 2 have a strong commitment to the families we work with and the area we serve.
Having the opportunity to meet people from all over the world in our work is both interesting and rewarding.
We have two children's units within the area of Social Services for Children and Youth. Both units work with children aged 0-12 years, where each unit consists of a unit manager and two group leaders who together support and guide two investigation groups of 8 social workers. In the unit, we care for and support each other, and we also value our differences and varying backgrounds. Developing the operations and finding new ways of working is something we find both fun and important!
We are now looking for new colleagues for both units. We are seeking 2 social workers for the units.
We offer
We offer an exciting and developing job together with good colleagues. We also provide wellness benefits and the opportunity to exchange vacation days for extra days off. Please read more about the benefits of the City of Stockholm here.
Your role
As a social worker in the children's units, you will work to investigate children's needs for protection and support and follow up on granted interventions. We strive to involve and have a good collaboration with the child, parents, and the network. You will collaborate with other colleagues within social services, schools, police, and other actors around the child.
We aim to meet the need for interventions at home. There is also a clear structure in the work and well-developed routines. You will have support from group leaders, unit managers, colleagues, and the area's coordinators, as well as access to external supervision in your daily work.
Our employees and managers have a strong drive to find new paths and methods in their work. To succeed, we need more ambitious social workers who contribute their ideas and engagement. We need you!
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in social work.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience and familiarity with investigative work within social services, preferably with children and youth.
- Good ability to conduct an investigation in a purposeful and legally secure manner.
- Knowledge and experience of BBIC, Signs of Safety.
- Updated knowledge of relevant legislation.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently and has a good structure in their work. You are flexible, remain calm in stressful situations, and find it easy to collaborate. You recognize the importance of building good relationships and have an empathetic ability. You take initiative and have a strong interest in working in a multicultural area.
We place great emphasis on personal abilities and skills.
Your application
We are recruiting without a personal letter in this recruitment to strengthen the focus on the competencies and experiences required for this role. In assessing your application, we will only consider your CV and a number of questions you will need to answer when applying for the position. We ask that you respond concretely and briefly to the questions, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competencies and thus counteracting discrimination.
