Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and privacy, contributing to a smooth daily life.

About the position

We are looking for a personal assistant for an 8-year-old child – a little philosopher with a lot of humor, curiosity, and a way of engaging with the world that touches. The child is easy to lead, and therefore needs someone who knows how to manage that trust. A person who can understand the child and their language, and who can guide with drive, creativity, and intelligence.

This is an active and educational assistant role where you lead a child in various environments – such as school, TV recordings, and doctor visits. The work involves holding thematic lessons focusing on reading, writing, counting, and practical knowledge, where the role resembles a combination of special teacher and creative guide.

You will work closely with a parent and have an active role in the child's daily life, structure, and development. When you are on duty, the parent is off (even when the parent is physically present) – this means you need to be able to take significant responsibility, juggle many tasks, and at the same time be a safe adult for a small life.

The assignment requires both sharpness and drive – but also humor, flexibility, and a good dose of self-distance.

We are now looking for someone who fits the following: You are energetic, independent, and wise enough to determine what is truly important. You have a pedagogical mindset, are communicative, and confident in leading a child in daily life. Someone who can follow instructions but also read between the lines. We are looking for capability – not experience.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary

The current employment form is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" and the position comprises 56%, equivalent to about 22 hours per week. The work is scheduled during the day according to the following schedule:

• Monday 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM

• Wednesday 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• Every other Friday 8:25 AM – 5:00 PM In addition to the above position, we are looking for a part-time employee with high availability who can work both day, afternoon, and evening as needed and by agreement.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation is in accordance with collective agreements.

Start date

January 2026 but preferably as soon as possible.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that confirm your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
