Foster Care Secretary to Sundbyberg Municipality

Are you a trained social worker with experience working with children and youth within social services? Do you want a meaningful role where you can use your skills to create stability and security for children in need of support? We are now looking for an engaged and experienced foster care secretary who wants to be part of our team.

The Foster Care Unit in Sundbyberg Municipality works with foster care placed children and youth as well as unaccompanied refugee children. The group consists of ten employees working as foster care secretaries or child caseworkers.

We are a collaborative organization that works cross-professionally and takes the user's own reality as a starting point. In our ongoing development work together with our open care, we have focused on network work and interaction observations. Our values are permeated by a user perspective and a child perspective. We work from a systems theory foundation. The unit is led by a unit manager and group leader.

About the Position

As a foster care secretary, you will be responsible for recruiting and investigating new foster homes, contact persons, and contact families. You will support them throughout the assignment, offering guidance and ensuring they have the right conditions to succeed. The work is carried out in close collaboration with child caseworkers, and together you will follow up on the child's situation to ensure a safe and stable environment around the child. You will play a central role in collaborating with other authorities and stakeholders and will also be responsible for contracts, financial matters, and other administrative duties related to the assignment.

You will be part of an experienced and supportive team. You will also work with colleagues in the emergency home and family pool in the Northwest. Within the pool, we collaborate on the recruitment and training of foster homes.

We also have two placement secretaries responsible for purchasing external care and contract writing for all children and youth.

About You

You are a trained social worker and have experience in social services' administrative duties in the area of children and youth. We expect you to have good knowledge of relevant legislation, and it is important that you can express yourself well both verbally and in writing. A driver's license is required as the position involves travel. If you have training in New Kälvesten and systems theory, we see that as an extra plus.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine commitment to children's rights and safety. You are attentive, professional, and have an easy time building trusting relationships. With us, you will have a developing job where your skills make a real difference every day.

We Offer You

With us, you will be part of an engaged and competent team where job satisfaction, collaboration, and development are at the center. We have a high level of well-being and a climate where we support each other and share knowledge. It is very important for us to provide our new employees with a good introduction. Therefore, we have developed an introduction program that gives you good conditions to quickly get into your work and feel secure in your role. You will also have access to external supervision and internal and external training. We are proud to be part of the Career Journey and have a well-regarded trainee program for social work students.
