Järfälla Municipality is now looking for an engaged and driven Coordinator Against Violence in Close Relationships (VINR) based at the Prevention Unit within the Social Administration. We are looking for someone who is passionate about prevention and gender equality in an exciting role where you will work across the municipality to plan, coordinate, and develop the municipality's work in this area.
Järfälla Municipality works long-term to prevent violence in close relationships and honor-related violence and oppression. Our vision is a society where all residents live free from violence and oppression. As a VINR coordinator, you will have a strategic key role in the municipality's development to prevent violence and support and protect victims of violence.
With us, you will be part of a unit where a wide range of prevention issues and competencies collaborate, creating a dynamic and pleasant work environment. The unit includes parenting support, family counseling, field operations, school social team, Early Support – SSPF, and coordination of prevention issues. You will be part of the strategic management group of the Prevention Unit together with the unit manager, group leaders, and the coordination team. In the coordination team, your closest colleagues are coordinators against honor-related violence and oppression (HRVF), coordinators for universal violence prevention, and coordinators for work related to alcohol, drugs, doping, tobacco, and gambling (ANDTS). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a coordinator against violence in close relationships in Järfälla Municipality, you will have a central role in driving and developing the violence prevention work. You will be responsible for coordinating the municipality's efforts according to local governing documents. We are now scaling up the violence prevention work to all of Järfälla's children and young people by implementing violence prevention methods in preschools and schools.
The work involves identifying needs and developing action plans, planning and conducting training, and also following up and evaluating ongoing work. You will keep yourself updated on current legislation and research and spread knowledge by educating and informing politicians, officials, schools, associations, and other stakeholders. An important part of the role is to collaborate, for example, with the Police. You will also participate in the joint development work within the Prevention Unit's coordination team. Some evening work may occur in connection with, for example, parent meetings or lectures.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is collaborative, driven, structured, and self-sufficient in their work. You have an easy time taking initiative, understanding different contexts, and the ability to quickly adapt to the needs and priorities of the organization. You can listen to different perspectives and create engagement. You are communicative and enjoy conducting training and being outgoing. You can convey knowledge and motivate others. You have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and good computer skills.
Requirements:
- Higher education in gender studies, social work, behavioral science, political science, or a related field
- Experience working against violence in close relationships and educating about violence in close relationships
- Good knowledge of legislation, support measures, and collaboration models in the area of violence in close relationships.
- Experience in coordination, project management, or process management
Desirable:
- We would like you to have current experience from working in a politically governed organization, knowledge of honor-related violence and oppression, and experience working with children who experience violence.
