The Social Administration is responsible for individual and family care, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities. We work preventively with support, interventions, and authority exercises for children, youth, families, adults, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

About the Job

We are now looking for a social worker for our placement team!

The placement team consists of seven social workers, a team leader, a contract secretary, and two crime coordinators. As a social worker in the team, your task is to follow the youth placed in HVB, SiS, in treatment families, or in supported housing, according to SoL or LVU. You are expected to build relationships and collaborative alliances with your youth and, where applicable, guardians, advocating for the youth to receive good care and accommodating youth and parents as much as possible. We place great importance on regularly meeting our youth, which means we travel a lot for work. We have close collaboration within the team and a high level of engagement with our target group. We have regular supervision and we care about maintaining a non-prestigious approach, both within the team and with our youth and parents.

Your Profile

You are an experienced social worker in the field of children and youth, preferably with previous experience working with placed youth. You enjoy closely following youth in the treatment process over time, never losing hope and standing firm when storms arise. You have good knowledge of the legislation in our area, can prioritize and make your own assessments, but do not hesitate to consult colleagues. You have good collaboration skills and an approach characterized by respect and commitment. You also need to have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing.

This is a role that gives a lot back but can also be demanding at times; you need to have an inner acceptance that you cannot always do everything and a belief that small steps will pay off in the long run. You also need to care for your own well-being and set boundaries for your engagement to sustain and be present for the youth over time. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work
• At least 2 years of experience in authority exercise with children and youth
• Driver's license (B) is necessary as travel is required
