Job Description

We are now looking for someone who thrives in a high-tech international environment and who wants to take on the role of Electronics Designer with us. You will work with and support the electrical design department, development, as well as mechanical installation and manufacturing. You will be an important link and support for assembly, mechanics, and other parts of the company within your main area. To independently develop and update electrical systems, cabling, and possibly be involved in program development in the future.

The work may involve, for example, developing proposals for new developments, simplifying electrical systems, and creating documentation for finished electrical systems, prototypes of cable harnesses, and procuring these. You will also conduct and compile tests for product quality and develop systems for documentation and troubleshooting of electrical and CAN bus systems. To succeed in the role, you will have close contact with production and work on continuous improvements together with other colleagues.

As Kalmar Motor's customers are located all over the world, travel may occur to different continents, customer visits, and service trips a few times a year.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have a completed university degree, preferably with an electrical engineering focus, and several years of work experience. Candidates with a high school background, supplemented with solid technical experience, are also qualified.

To thrive in the role, you need to enjoy thinking independently, often outside the box, while utilizing your existing knowledge and seeking solutions together with colleagues. You enjoy developing and learning new things and can make your own decisions. You need to possess good social skills as you will work with many different people both internally within Kalmar Motor and with external contacts.

As a person, you are structured and meticulous, with a good ability to see the big picture. You have a positive attitude, initiative, and a curious personality, driven by tackling and solving emerging issues.

You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, fluent in both spoken and written. Experience with the CAD tool E3 is an advantage. The position is located in Kalmar. The job is full-time. You report to the Technical Manager.
