Description

Region Västerbotten has granted support for a groundbreaking project aimed at developing pilot environments for climate adaptation in Upper Norrland.

The project addresses challenges such as drought, flooding, and disrupted supply chains, and creates models for robust local communities with a focus on water supply, climate-adapted cultivation, processing, and storage. Vilhelmina is a key municipality in the project and will work on model building for local food production and preparedness.

Job Responsibilities

As a local project manager in Vilhelmina, you will be a central actor in:

• Coordinating local activities related to climate-adapted cultivation and preparedness.
• Leading workshops and networking meetings between the municipality, civil society, and businesses.
• Ensuring that collaboration models for local food supply are implemented and documented.
• Contributing to the development of training and internship modules.
• Participating in the project's governance and reporting together with the main project management.

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience working in the business sector or in business promotion contexts.
• Is confident in building relationships and collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Has the ability to work independently and turn ideas into action.
• Communicates well in spoken and written Swedish.
• Is passionate about rural development and sustainable entrepreneurship.

Meritorious

• Has experience in project management, preferably within sustainability or rural development.
• Is accustomed to working with collaboration between different actors (municipality, civil society, businesses).
• Has knowledge or interest in climate adaptation, food supply, or preparedness.
• Is structured, communicative, and enjoys driving processes forward.
• Has a good ability to document and report results.
• Experience working in smaller municipalities or rural development.
• Competence in cultivation, processing, or water management.
• Understanding of regional development strategies and Agenda 2030.
